I discovered an artist I really like on Katy Elliot.
Her floral stills are so full of color and happiness.
She paints on
square pieces of wood
with acrylic.
I contacted her to see what she had for sale.
On a whim I sent her
a photo of zinnias + some other fleurs
I had just picked from our garden.
She said she would love to paint them!
A couple of days later she sent me this snap
of our zins:

This is my dear friend Charisse,
photographer extraordinaire.
She has taken photos of both Everett
(at Yale in the NICU)
and Piper at birth as well
as all the perfect Christmas photos of my kids.
Right this minute she is at
Sloane Kettering in NYC
getting ready for a
bone marrow transplant
next week to
hopefully put the
non-hodgkin’s lymphoma
she was diagnosed with
7 1/2 years ago
into remission once and for all.

I am loving the DOUBLE L's fresh fish.
