We needed a quick not-too-far-away-get-away. Last minute we decided to hop in the car and go north to our favorite inn called THE PORCHES INN in North Adams, Massachusetts.
It's a wonderfully cozy place...peppermint tea in the eve with warm homemade cookies when you arrive kind of place.
The bonus is right across the street: the MASS MOCA museum. A huge contemporary art museum housed in an enormous old mill.We planned on going for the night and ended up getting snowed in on the eve of the new year.....not a bad place to be stranded...thank goodness!
