Did I mention the studio is closed until March 30th? Yup it's so we can all regroup, spring clean and have some fun and rest. Everett and I will be making some trips here and there to museums, hike some hikes and visit with friends. I'll keep you posted if we see or do anything super interesting....

happiness is...

when your sweet friend & neighbor, Tracy, brings you treats from Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. She dropped off a bag of fresh mozzarella, semolina bread and biscotti yesterday eve. I stood at the kitchen counter and dipped bread in olive oil and topped with the fresh cheese....YUM! I'll savor the biscotti with my tea in bed until the bag is empty. I thank you, Tracy!

A Homemade Life

This is a brand new book by Molly Wizenberg, the founder of the fabulous food blog Orangette.
I preordered it. It came in the mail on Friday. I could have finished it in one sitting but I want to savor it. If you know and love the writing of Laurie Colwin then you will love this. I want to make every recipe. I did a big shop yesterday and got all the ingredients for Molly's roasted eggplant ratatouille, banana bread and scones. Thank goodness we are homebound in the midst of a winter snowstorm. A perfect day to spend in the kitchen!
