These are before and after shots of our studio at home. This is where I hope to squeeze the current paper scissors oranges or at least half of it...ok a quarter. It's a guest room for the summer but come August it will be the new paper scissors oranges or I should say paper scissors key limes......a spot, come late spring 2010, where I will have teeny, cozy art classes for children...stay tuned!

This is a beautiful cookbook by Tessa Kiros. It's called Falling Cloudberries and is a Gourmet Book Club cookbook. I have it on my bedside table...I peruse and then dream of all the yummy meals I could make. See it here.

We started the Early Bird session this week. These are platforms for our papier mache heads. They are so beautiful-the photo does not do justice. Stay tuned for the final outcome....

I had no idea that a major motion picture of one of my all time favorite stories for children was being made! Coming in October. Check out the trailer here. Everett, Andrew and I can hardly wait. I love the posters with the handwritten font too!

summer vacation

Summer vacation has officially started! Everett had his last day of school and my Late Spring session ended on Friday. Yeah!

I popped in the Crew Cuts for kids store today and was really very impressed with the way the store is styled. The window is so simple...Black paper with fluorescent masking tape sea life. Inside I fell in love with the simple pieces of art hanging in the boys' section in random vintage frames. The lovely sales woman told me they are linoleum cut prints by Hugo Guinness. I would love a wall full of them. Check them out here.
