three new favorite books for children

Well of course Oh No, George by Chris Haughton
caught my eye because we have our own 

curious + furry friend named Jorge. 

The oh so colorful illustrations also grabbed me.

Same creator as Little Owl Lost...another newish fave.

Here is Jon Klassen again with another fantastically illustrated book,

Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett.

So sweet.

Creators + knitters young + old will adore this story.

Henri's Walk to Paris was originally printed in 1962.

Lucky for us it's available again 50 years later.

Once again I'm drawn to the colors + graphics this time 

by Saul Bass.

This is a witty gem.

clean slate + banana almond smoothie

and have a

banana almond smoothie

Ingredients:

• 1 medium to large frozen banana (break your bananas into one-inch chunks before freezing)
• 1 heaping spoonful of almond butter
• 2 spoonfuls flax seed
• 1/2 cup almond milk, yogurt or regular milk
• drizzle of honey, agave nectar or maple syrup
• dash almond extract 
• (or vanilla extract, but the almond extract makes the smoothie taste almost like candy!)

Instructions: Toss all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
