unzipped

I watched this documentary yesterday.
Perfect rainy day entertainment.
It's Isaac Mizrahi
in the thick of creating a show back in 1994 .
Love it.
Love him.
The fashions are all so now.
The colors, the booties, the sequins, the hats....all of it.
The runway hairdoos are so beautiful.
Supermodels deluxe.
I enjoyed looking in the background
at the furniture etc....again...all works today.
Fun music!
Only bad thing is how much
everyone smoked...so glad that's changed.

trader joe's jelly beans

Quick.
Get your body over to
your nearest Trader Joe's.
Buy as many boxes of
the gourmet jelly beans
as you can.
They are so so delish.
I don't even care about jelly beans.
 These I do.
The grapefruit jellies taste like grapefruit.
The mango taste like mango.
Kinda like the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka.
No joke.
{thanks for the tip KPA}
This is the box you will need to find in the candy section.
Good Luck with Easter around the corner.
{KPA said bags. I only saw boxes}
I put beans in teeny WECK canning jars.
One for each plate at our Easter table.
A bowl of beans.
{the colors are spectacular}

She sure is for
Best Actress.
Most enjoyable.
A must see.

downton abbey

Another thing I'm hooked on:
Downton Abbey.
A British television series that aired on
here in the states back in the spring.
I stumbled upon it on the Netflix "play it now",
started watching and could not get enough of it.
I didn't know how much of a following it had here and in the UK.
(Cathrin are you hooked????)
Julian Fellowes is the writer.
He wrote Godsford Park starring
Dame Maggie Smith..love her.

Here is the trailer of series 1 which again is available on Netflix.

Below you will find the trailer to series 2.
It's due to air on Masterpiece Theater
January 8, 2012
I can hardly wait.

calder's circus

Alexander Calder.
My all time favorite artist.
I have a wonderful film on VHS
of Calder performing with his circus
called
I tried to find a copy on DVD...no go.
Here is a clip of this special, special film:
Love it as you can see Calder's wife manning the music
with a necklace he made for her.
You can see his mobile hanging, gently swaying.
The music is also fantastic.

I did find another film on DVD:
It's also fantastic yet different from the Roland version.
Here is a clip of this one:
Both capture
Calder's brilliance.
What a talented man...with a child's imagination.
Love.
